Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow is an energetic yoga practice in which every movement is linked to the breath. People usually find it challenging, especially in the beginning, because the sequence stays the same and the body has to keep up. At Mira Yogshala, this is taught during the 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh with a disciplined and structured approach, making it easy for every student to learn and adopt.

The practice follows a fixed series of poses. Some poses feel manageable, some feel difficult, and some feel impossible on certain days. That changes over time. Strength and flexibility build slowly. Breathing is very important here. The ujjayi breath keeps the movement steady and helps with focus. Some days it feels tiring, some days it feels grounding. The practice pushes both body and mind. You notice how the breath reacts when things get hard.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow isn't just physical practice. The 100 Hour Yoga TTC in Rishikesh at Mira Yogashala also helps students develop mental discipline and emotional balance. Sometimes the practice can be tiring, sometimes it can feel grounding, but each time it connects the individual to the present moment. Over time, it becomes a moving meditation that develops consistency and inner focus.

Alignment and adjustment are important in yoga. Most people hear these words often but don’t really think about them much. In yoga, alignment simply means how the body is placed in a pose. It is about where the feet are, how the spine is held, and how much effort is being used. Small things matter here. At Mira Yogshala, especially during the 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, alignment plays a key role in how a posture feels in the body. When alignment is right, the posture feels supportive. When it is off, the body feels strain. Proper alignment helps reduce injury and also makes the pose more effective.

Adjustment and modification are not only physical. They affect how safe a person feels in a class. When someone feels supported, the body relaxes more. This makes a difference. Yoga becomes less about pushing and more about understanding limits. Some days, the body opens easily. Some days it doesn’t.

Our experienced teachers at Mira Yogashala are trained to give adjustments, but not in a fixed way. Every student is different, and we keep that in mind during practice in our 100 Hour YTTC in Rishikesh. Some people need support, some don’t. Comfort always comes first. Adjustments are never forced and are given only when they feel necessary.

Yoga Philosophy (Yoga Darshan) is the philosophical aspect of yoga, which explains to us that yoga is not merely a physical exercise but a complete way of life. The objective of yoga philosophy is to establish balance between the mind, body, and soul and to guide the individual towards self-realization. This philosophy teaches us how we can attain inner peace and contentment through right thinking, right conduct, and a disciplined life.

Patanjali's Yoga Sutras form the base of yoga philosophy, which describes the eight limbs of yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. At Mira Yogashala, our philosophy teacher will help you to understand the meaning of these Patanjali yoga sutras and their uses during the 100 hour Yoga TTC in Rishikesh so that you can share the same knowledge with your students. In this course, you will also learn about how the body, mind, and soul are not separate entities.

Our teaching methodology includes instructing students on how to plan a yoga class, how to begin a class, how to explain postures in simple language, and how to adapt the practice according to each student's physical capabilities.

Our teaching methodology is unique because we focus more on understanding, safety, and confidence rather than rote learning. Teaching methodology makes yoga safe, effective, and enjoyable for students while helping a yoga practitioner become a confident and responsible yoga teacher.

Fire Ceremony

The Fire Ceremony or 'Havan', heralds the auspicious beginning of a student's life-changing yoga journey. This holy rite, which has its origins in old Indian tradition, represents negativity removal and cleansing. On the first day of their yoga inaugural ceremony, students gather around a gorgeously decorated fire pit under the guidance of Priest as the sun rises. Chanting Vedic mantras to invoke the blessings of the almighty opens the ceremony. As a sign of their submission to the spiritual path, participants offer grains, ghee (clarified butter), and aromatic plants to the sacred fire. Radiating warmth and good vibes, the flames dance in various brilliant hues.

The Fire Ceremony sets the tone for the yoga programme and is more than just a ceremony. It represents cleansing the body, mind, and spirit, enabling trainees to approach their practice with fresh eyes. A feeling of harmony and peace descends upon everyone in attendance amid the gentle chants and crackling fire, establishing a peaceful start to an enlightening experience at Mira Yogashala.

These sessions are not only about silence or meditation; they are meant to bring lightness, joy, and connection into the learning process.

The sessions combine simple mindfulness activities, playful exercises, and yoga in a relaxed way. Sometimes they feel like a break from regular classes, allowing students to unwind and interact more freely with each other. On some days, the group may sit together for a quiet outdoor meditation, and on other days, there might be fun activities like yoga charades that create laughter and ease.

These mindfulness sessions are designed to keep the 100 hour yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh balanced, engaging, and enjoyable, rather than purely structured or intense. When students take part in a mindfulness session during their 100 Hour Yoga TTC in Rishikesh, they experience a different side of yoga—one that feels lighter, more connected, and more shared with others.

Ashram and Temple Visiting

Our 100 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh includes the Ashram and Temple Visiting expedition. These visits are part of our yoga curriculum and allow students to leave the classroom and experience the spiritual side of Rishikesh firsthand. During this journey, students visit sacred ashrams and temples across the city. These are not ordinary places; many of them have been centers of spiritual practice for centuries, and visiting some ashrams gives you a profound sense of peace and simplicity, as if time itself has stood still. You can sense that yogis and sages have meditated there for generations, even if nothing is being said.

Temples feel different. They are more vibrant and full of life. There are chants, ringing bells, rituals being performed, and people moving in devotion. The architecture is elaborate, the atmosphere is intense, and the energy is palpable. You feel the difference the moment you step inside. These guided tours help students experience the spiritual essence of yoga, going beyond mere cultural exploration.

Spending time in these ashrams and temples allows students to experience the sacred energy of Rishikesh in their own way. Some feel deeply inspired and calm, and some simply observe silently. Over time, these experiences shape both their yoga practice and personal spiritual growth.

Cave Exploring (Optional)

Our cave exploring experience is included as a part of the 200-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. During this activity, students explore some of the most famous caves, such as the Jheel Mill Cave and the Vashisht Meditation Cave. These caves are naturally formed and largely untouched. Jhil Mil Cave has narrow pathways, uneven rock formations, and a quiet stillness that makes you more aware of your surroundings. On the other hand, Vashisht Meditation Cave, on the other hand, feels more tranquil and open. It is known for its spiritual significance and has been used by seekers for meditation and reflection for many years.

Cave exploration during the 200-hour yoga TTC in India is not just about seeing a place; it is about experiencing a different side of nature and silence. The cool temperature, low light, and quiet atmosphere naturally encourage mindfulness and inward focus.

Spending time in these caves allows students to connect with nature more deeply while continuing their yoga practice. These visits become part of the overall learning experience of the 200-hour yoga teacher training course, helping students feel more grounded and aware as they progress on their spiritual path.
